This piece was inspired by a stunning photograph taken by a good friend and colleague. I was immediately drawn to the bold colors of the pedals and the texture of the raindrops. This was such a fun and rewarding painting to capture!

This painting was inspired by the Hawaiian state flower, the yellow hibiscus. I was drawn to its vibrant yellow petals that radiate like sunlight and blending the soft yellows with deeper amber tones in the center of the flower. The richness of its color reminded me of optimism and warmth🌺

This piece centers on an amanita mushroom my kids and I discovered while out on a walk. I loved the budding smaller mushroom appearing childlike next to the larger more mature mushroom. Emerging vividly from the forest floor, it reflects both beauty and danger inviting curiosity while reminding us of nature’s duality. 🍄
